MOUNT OLIVE -- Drifty Wayne Holmes, 45, of 358 Beautancus Road, a farmer, died Monday at home.
Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Drifty Holmes, and a brother, Charles Randy Holmes, and is survived by his wife, Frances Pate Holmes; his mother, Minnie Lee Arnette Holmes of Mount Olive; a stepdaughter, Cynthia H. Rakela and husband, Christopher, of Mount Olive; six grandchildren; four sisters, Patricia Bowden and Pam Swinson, both of Mount Olive, Katherine Craft of Seven Springs, Wanda Davis of White Lake; and five brothers, Milton Holmes, Hoyt Lee Holmes, Raeford Holmes and Sherwood Holmes, all of Mount Olive, Joey F. Holmes of Calypso.
Funeral will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Tyndall Funeral Home with visitation following. At other times, the family will be at the home of his mother, 392 Beautancus Road, Mount Olive. Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Pate Cemetery.
