MOUNT OLIVE -- Lynn Douglas Bethea, 61, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday. Mr. Bethea was born in Richmond, Va.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Bethea; four sons, Lynn Douglas Bethea Jr. of LaGrange, John David Bethea and wife, Courtney, of Highland Springs, Va., Bobby Bethea and Michael Carter Bethea, both of Heathsville, Va.; a brother, William Bethea Jr. of Marion, Va.; three sisters, Linda Oliver and husband, Eric, of Virginia, Betty Ann Proctor and husband, Jack, of Greenville, S.C., Pamela McGrady and husband, Marshall, of Marion, Va.; two grandchildren, Katelyn Renee Bethea, Ryan Douglas Bethea; and two pets, J.J. and Rusty Roo who were by his side at the time of his passing.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Capps Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
