PERRY LEE JOHNSON
Perry Lee Johnson, 59, of Pleasant Pine Drive, went home with Jesus on Wednesday evening, Jan. 2, 2008, at home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held this evening (Friday) at 7 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Goldsboro. Pastor Linda Burroughs will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mr. Johnson was born in Harnett County on Jan. 12, 1948, to the late Jack Lee and Laura James Johnson. He was a member of the Blood Bought Church where he served as head usher. He was retired from the Wayne Memorial Hospital maintenance department.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Evelyn Johnson; two sons, Wayne Johnson and his wife, Judy, of Seven Springs and Michael Johnson and his wife, Carrie, of Grantham; two daughters, Danna Johnson Price and her husband, Richard, of Elroy and Selina Mangum of Grantham; two brothers, Douglas Johnson of Goldsboro and Jesse Johnson and his wife, Kathy, of Rosewood; two sisters, Edith Colmore and her husband, Don, of Goldsboro and Jackie Eakes and her husband, Jimmy, of Goldsboro; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and his beloved pet, Princess.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Community Home Care and Hospice, 1201 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, N.C. 27534.
