LINDA ISLER

Linda Speight Isler, lovingly known by her family and friends as "Honey," 65, of 231 Wayne Ave., went to be with her Lord Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007, at Wayne Memorial Hospital with her family at her bedside.
Linda was born in Greene County to the late Frank and Rosa Lee Speight. She retired from Cherry Hospital with more than 30 years in the nursing service department.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2 at the Bear Creek Headquarters. The Rev. Michael Artis will officiate. Walk-in viewing will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 1, with the family present from 6 until 7 at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries. The family will accept condolences at 231 Wayne Ave., and will also assemble there in preparation for the funeral procession.
To cherish wonderful memories, she leaves two sons, Linwood Atkinson of the home and James Atkinson of Ohio; three daughters, Vickie Parker of Newport News, Va., Michelle Craig of the home and Monica Isler of Goldsboro; five grandchildren; three brothers; four sisters; and a host of nieces and nephews.
