SNOW HILL -- Nancy Taylor Ham, 86, passed away Monday at her home. A native of Greene County, she was born the daughter of the late Bennie and Minnie Newsome Taylor; and was the widow of the late Odis O'Neal Ham. She was a member of Jerusalem United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service with the Rev. T.C. West and the Rev. Al Sullivan officiating. Committal services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, at the Snow Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Ham's surviving family includes her daughters, Kathryn H. Waller and husband, Billy, of Snow Hill and Ann H. Wade and husband, Bobby, of Grifton; a grandson, Lee Wade Jr. of Cary; granddaughters, Tammy W. Jones and husband, David, of Snow Hill, Missy R. Gay of Goldsboro, and Teresa W. Thompson and husband, Greg, of Grifton; great-grandchildren, Rachel Jones, Katie Gay, Taylor Gay, Brett Thompson and Leah Thompson; a special niece, Darlene Messerli; a special nephew, Chris Howell; and several other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Valeria H. Rhem and Nancy Loretta Ham; brothers, George Taylor and Ben Radford; sisters, Doris T. Howell, Janie Taylor, Blanche Taylor, Rosalee Howell, Louisa Taylor, Eunit Mae Wells Smith and Viola Smith.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday immediately following the service and other times at the residence of Kathryn and Billy Waller, 563 Mewborn Church Road, Snow Hill. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Jerusalem UMC Building Fund, c/o Larry Stroud, 3640 Highway 13 South, Snow Hill, N.C. 28580.
