ERMA LEAN LANIER

JACKSONVILLE -- Erma Lean Lanier, 91, went to be with the Lord on Sunday at Onslow Memorial Hospital.
Ms. Erma was a member of the Tar Landing Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Virginia Ann Shepard; and a sister, Maie W. Lanier.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, at 3 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Marshburn officiating. Burial will follow at Onslow Memorial Park.
She is survived by her son, Durwood "Gene" Lanier and wife, Norma, of Goldsboro; brother, Alton C. Williams of Jacksonville; sisters, Irene W. Craft, Letha W. Marshburn, Edna W. Murphy, all of Jacksonville, Marie W. Fountain of Richlands; three grandchildren, Candace Herring and husband, Dr. Lindsey Herring, of Goldsboro, Durwood K. Lanier and wife, Dawn, of Sanford, Angie Hudson and husband, Jeff, of Jacksonville; four great-grandchildren, Anna Herring and Brandon Herring, both of Goldsboro, Megan Lanier of Sanford and Ian Hudson of Jacksonville.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday at 2 p.m. prior to the service at Johnson Funeral Home.
Arrangements are by Johnson Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
