RHONDA M. RODGERS
Rhonda Marie Rodgers, 51, passed away Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Bear Creek Association Headquarters, 1800 S. Slocumb St., Goldsboro. Interment will follow at the First Congregational Church Cemetery in Dudley.
Mrs. Rodgers was born in Wayne County on Feb. 11, 1956, to Evelyn Wynn Manuel and the late William Darlas Manuel. She was a member of Tabernacle Center of Deliverance in Greenville. Rhonda was employed with Caswell Center in Kinston.
She is survived by her mother, Evelyn Manuel of Dudley; her husband, Perry Rodgers; one son, Keith Rodgers of Winterville; two daughters, Kimberly Rodgers of Winterville and Wakeelah Shabazz of Greenville; four brothers, William Manuel of Dudley, Douglas Manuel of Newport News, Va., Alvin Manuel of Tennessee and Carey Manuel of Dudley; three sisters, Gina Boyd of Dudley, Phyllis Jones of Goldsboro and Theresa Howard of Martinsville, Va.; and two grandchildren, Nazi'hah Shabazz and Arriana Shabazz.
A wake will be held Thursday from 6 until 7 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Goldsboro. The family will receive friends other times at 162 Sleepy Creek Road in Dudley.
