SILER CITY -- Alice Verna Hall Phillips, 101, 501 W. Eighth St., died Saturday at Universal Healthcare. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roble Phillips Sr.
Four children survive.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Wall and the Rev. Glenn Phillips Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. tonight at the Smith and Buckner Funeral Home, Siler City, and other times at the home of John and Joyce Leonard of Siler City.
