Janie Lee McLamb Braswell of Rosewood died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital on her 73rd birthday.
Mrs. Braswell was born in Wayne County, N.C., to the late Isom D. McLamb and Leacy Hardison McLamb. She was married to the late Reginald Braswell Sr.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Thomas McLendon and the Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Braswell is survived by her sons, Reggie Braswell and wife, Benita, of Rosewood, Jerry Braswell and wife, Panis, of Princeton; her sister, Christine Wallace of Princeton; her grandchildren, Michele Braswell of Rosewood, Shaun Braswell and wife, Shelly, of Greenville, Jerica Torres of Live Oak, Fla., and Lee Braswell of Princeton; her step-grandchildren, Dee Tilghman and wife, Kimberly, of Smithfield, Melody Driver and husband, John, of Kennesaw, Ga., and Joni Page of Dudley; her great-grandchildren, Avery and Hayden Braswell of Greenville, Taylor and Kelan Torres of Live Oak, Fla.; and her step-great-grandchildren, Alex and Hunter Driver of Kennesaw, Ga., Hunter and Justin Tilghman of Smithfield, Austin and Summer Page of Dudley.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Reggie Braswell, 253 Charlie Braswell Road in Rosewood.
