John Edward Koepke, 77, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
John was born in LaPorte County, Ind., to the late Clarence Koepke and Ruth Fay Koepke. He retired as a firefighter chief with Motorola in Scottsdale, Ariz.
No formal services will be held.
John is survived by his wife, Renee F. Koepke of the home; his children, Lori Jones of Goldsboro, Cynthia Hutton of Goldsboro, Michael Reese and James Koepke, both of Arizona; his grandchildren, Ryan, Nikki, Jennifer, Emily, Natalie, Christopher and Nicole; and his great-grandchildren, Jay and Sarah.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wayne County Humane Society, 104 S. Center St., Goldsboro, N.C. 27534.
The family will receive friends at their home, 203 Rose Landing Drive, Goldsboro.
Arrangements are with Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
