MARGIE MACON COLEMAN

RALEIGH -- Margie Macon Coleman, 86, died Saturday morning at Blue Ridge Health Care Center. A native of Wake County, she is the daughter of the late Joseph Macon and Minnie Hicks Macon. Mrs. Coleman was employed with North Carolina State University in the accounting department for many years before her retirement and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She is the widow of James Hubert Coleman Sr., who died in 1993.
She is survived by her sons, James H. Coleman Jr., of Dudley and J. Edward Coleman and wife, Chris, of Raleigh; daughter, Lynette C. Ostrowski and husband, Robbie, of Raleigh; sisters, Florine Holder and husband, Johnny, of Raleigh and Louise Caviness and husband, Leonard, of Raleigh; grandchildren, Richard Coleman and wife, Melissa, of Roxboro; Michelle Montgomery and husband, Tom, of Pikeville; Bobby and Brice Ostrowski of Raleigh; great-grandchildren, Ashley and Austin Coleman of Roxboro and Abigail Montgomery of Pikeville; step-great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Lindsey and Dylan Montgomery of Fuquay-Varina. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Meredith Stancil of Dudley.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007, in the chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 831 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh. Interment will follow in Raleigh Memorial Park
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
Flowers will be appreciated or donations can be made to the Meredith Stancil Memorial Nursing Scholarship Fund at Wayne Community College in Goldsboro.
