Emma Lucille Mozingo Talton, 78, of 314 St. John Church Road, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She was born in Wayne County to the late Edward Patrick and Addie Crawford Mozingo and was married to the late Edward Leroy Talton.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The Rev. Jim Whitehead will be officiating. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Talton is survived by two sons, Bobby Ray Talton of Vanceboro and LeRoy Talton Jr. of Biloxi, Miss.; two daughters, Peggy Marie Talton Britt of Apex and Robin Talton Lancaster of Pikeville; four sisters, Mildred Barwick of Rocky Mount, Marie Kennedy of Goldsboro, Eunice Hines of Calypso and Alice Creech of Casey, S.C.; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Robin T. Lancaster, 404 True Vine Road, Pikeville, N.C.
