SCRANTON, Pa. -- Sam M. "Bennie" Bowden, 92, formerly of Wayne County, died Sunday at the Golden Living Center Nursing Home in Scranton.
Graveside will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Sykes and Croom Family Cemetery, N.C. Highway 70 East, Goldsboro, with Bishop Leamon Sykes officiating. Viewing will be 4-6 p.m. today at Hamilton Funeral Chapel of Goldsboro.
