Mr. Charlie Henry Glaspie, 78, of the Rainbow Community, died Friday, Sept. 21, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Goldsboro.
Funeral will be held at Rainbow Baptist Church, 1114 Lanefield Road, Warsaw, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday. The Rev. Alpfonza Williams will officiate. Burial will follow at Devotional Gardens in Warsaw.
His survivors include his wife, Rosa Glaspie of Warsaw; one son, Charles Anthony Glaspie of Raleigh; six daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Joe Williams of Fayetteville, Sandra and William Rouse of Warsaw, Rosa and Vernon Jarman of Warsaw, Gail and Edgar Womack of Philadelphia, Pa., Annie and Andre Robinson of Stafford, Va., and Janet Glaspie Stokes of Goldsboro; one sister, Hazel Herring of Kenansville; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; two aunts; a host of nieces, nephews; and other relatives and friends.
A visitation of family and friends will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 472 Wells Town Road, Rose Hill.
