HILDA H. SMACK

Hilda Hinson Smack, 76, of 717 Ridge Drive, passed away Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She is the daughter of the late Wiley and Flora Hinson and is survived by her husband, Kenneth Smack. She was a retired nurse from Wayne Heart and Internal Medicine.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with the Revs. Edward Thornton and Richard Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Providence U.M.C. cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a son, Edward Aken and wife, Colleen Bauer, of Goldsboro; a daughter, Charleen Aken Allen and fiancé, Ricky Ballance Sr., of Goldsboro; brothers, Giles Hinson of Goldsboro and Marshall Hinson of Mount Olive; and a grandson, Brandon Aken of Goldsboro
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Aken; a sister, Dora Mae King; and a brother, Norman Hinson.
