JAMES P. BASS SR.

James Phillip Bass Sr., 62, of 882 Old N.C. Highway 111, died Saturday evening at Wake Medical Center.
James was born in Durham County to the late John Bass and Eula Mae Casey Bass. He was a retired truck driver from Stackhouse in Goldsboro.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Princeton Cemetery.
James is survived by his wife, Margie Turner Bass; his children, Teresa Williamson and special friend, Robert Perry, of Goldsboro, Linda McCarty and husband, Tim, of Goldsboro, Connie Hough and husband, Larry, of Goldsboro, Steve Bass and wife, Machelle, of Goldsboro, James Phillip Bass Jr. and wife, Dawn, of Pikeville and Christie Parrish and husband, Daniel, of Princeton; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Betty Eason of Selma, Rosa Kornegay of Pikeville and Sadie Edmundson of LaGrange; his brother, John Bass and wife, Gertrude, of Asheville; and his special pet "Angel Girl."
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his home.
