James Olin Fail, 71, of 1919 N. Berkeley Blvd., died Thursday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Olin was born in Wayne County to the late Simon Fail and Lura Thompson Fail. He had worked with Dillon Supply in Goldsboro for 32 years.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Ceme-tery with the Rev. Jerry Mitchell officiating.
Olin is survived by his wife, Evelyn Hare Fail; his daughters, Jennifer Lynn Fail of San Diego, Calif., Marla Glaesman and husband, Peter, of Goldsboro and Karla Allbaugh and husband, Jon, of Vista, Calif.; and five grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Ralph Fail and wife, Jo, of Goldsboro; and his sisters, Arlene Crumpler and husband, Carlton, of Golds-boro and Ellen Weaver and husband, Jerry, of Grantham.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Julia S. Fail; his brother, Newlin Fail; and his sister, Rachel Crawford.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his home.
