WALTER SAULS
SNOW HILL -- Walter "Booster Boy" Sauls, 88, of 307 Pineshoal Drive, was born to the late George and Mary Moore Sauls on Nov. 30, 1918. He departed this life on Aug. 29, 2007.
He was a member of Mount Gilead Baptist Church in Norfolk, Va., and a faithful supporter of St. John United Holy Church, Snow Hill, N.C.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Sauls; a daughter, Louise Sauls Bagley; six sisters, Annie Sauls, Mary Sauls, Nellie Barfield, Emma Shirley, Sarah Mewborn, and Mattie Locust; two brothers, Jenna J. Sauls and George Sauls.
He leaves to cherish his memories his niece, Mary Sauls of the home; two grandsons, Brian J. Sauls and James C. Bagley III of Norfolk, Va.; one sister, Lillie Hines of Brooklyn, N.Y.; one son-in-law, James C. Bagley Jr.; and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, at 2 p.m. from the St. John United Holy Church, 1432 Fort Run Road, Snow Hill, with the Elder Michael E. Artis presiding. Interment will follow in the family plot at Artis' Cemetery, Stantonsburg, N.C. Visitation will be held on Friday, Aug. 31, 2007 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Home, 423 S. James St., Goldsboro, N.C. A wake will be held, Friday evening, Aug. 31, 2007, at St. John United Holy Church from 7 to 8 p.m. with the family present to receive friends and other family members.
