Robert Clifton Bass Sr., 95, died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Bass was born in Wilson County to the late Henry Bass and Lula Thomilson Bass. He was married to the late Gladys Lewis Bass. Mr. Bass was a retired parts clerk in Goldsboro. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.
Mr. Bass is survived by his daughter, Connie Busdieker of LaGrange; his sons, Bobby Bass and wife, Mary Eve, of Goldsboro and Steve Bass of the home; his sisters, Margaret Warren of Goldsboro, Edith Carter of Wilson, Barbara Lamm of Wilson and Nancy Boykin and husband, James, of Wilson; his grandchildren, Chad Busdieker and Amy Hernandez; and his great-granddaughter, Emily Rose Hernandez.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
