Elizabeth Jane Fehring Thompson, age 81, of Goldsboro died Wednesday at The Brian Center of Goldsboro. She was born in Elizabeth, N.J., to the late John and Margaret Dodge Fehring and was married to the late Richard Lewis Thompson. A member of Goldsboro Wesleyan Church, she was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. Pastor Allen Thompson will be officiating. Burial will be at Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by two nephews, Frank Thomas of Ocean Isle Beach, N.C. and Willard Thomas of Union, N.J.; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joseph and Alberta Matthews of Burleson, Texas; and a special friend, Janet Levan of Goldsboro, N.C.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Fehring and a sister, Marie F. Thomas.
The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
