Billy Ray McKeel, 71, of U.S. 301 near Micro, died Thursday afternoon at home.
The Princeton native was the son of the late Roby and Elizabeth Evans McKeel.
Funeral was Saturday in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma, with the Revs. Al Warrick and Richard McKeel officiating. A private burial will be in Selma Memorial Gardens.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Batten McKeel.
Two children also survive.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Micro Original Free Will Baptist Church, 106 U.S. 301 N., Micro, N.C. 27555.
