Robert William Gordon, 55, of 519 Forest Hill Drive, died at his home Thursday morning. He was born in Elizabeth, N.J., to Julia Gordon of Goldsboro and the late Robert H. Gordon.
Bob was a unique, special person and a dear friend to all who knew him and will be surely missed.
Mr. Gordon is survived by his wife, Marilyn Gordon of Goldsboro; two stepsons, Sean Huneycutt of Goldsboro and Trey Huneycutt of Panama City, Fla.; one sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Ronald Conley of Goldsboro; one nephew, Michael Conley of Goldsboro; one niece, Jillian Besso of Pikeville; two grandnieces, Kaylee and Julia Besso of Pikeville; mother-in-law, Winnie Snider of Goldsboro; and sister-in-law, Linda Turner of Mount Olive.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 12 to 8 p.m. at 108 Mill Creek Court, Goldsboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to NAMI, National Alliance of the Mentally Ill, Donor Services, P.O. Box 630577, Baltimore, Md. 21263-0577.
