DANNY L. STEPHENS

Danny Lee "Goat" Stephens, 54, 1725-A Maple St., passed away on Saturday at his home. He was born in Alamance County to Madie Stephens and the late Earl Stephens. Danny was a happy person who loved listening to music, dancing and having a good time with family and friends.
Graveside service will be held at 12 noon today at Elmwood Cemetery, with Bishop V.B. Phillips officiating. The family will receive friends at the home immediately following the service.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted mother, Madie M. Stephens of the home; five brothers, Larry D. Stephens and wife, Carlene, and Donald P. Stephens of the home, Anthony C. Stephens and Kendrick Roddick, both of Goldsboro, Johnny Stephens of Winston-Salem; seven sisters, Viola R. Baker and Betty S. Jones and husband, Clarence, both of Raleigh, Alvenia D. Baker of Goldsboro, Carolyn D. Lewis and husband, Jerome, of Dudley, and Mary Lois Dean, Emma Joyce Jones, and Martha R. Moody, all of Winston-Salem; sister-in-law, Gloria Stephens of Greenville; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and supportive friends.
