ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -- Jesse Thomas Black, 64, died on Saturday at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Mainland Campus. He was born to the Rev. Effie Crawford and William H. Black Sr. in Goldsboro, N.C. He attended Dillard High School in Goldsboro, N.C., and graduated in 1964. He was last employed by the public works department of Atlantic City. He is predeceased by his parents; a brother, Larry Black; and sister, Barbara Jean Bennett.
He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Dion Black of Atlantic City and Taurian Black of Red Bank; three lovely daughters, Nadina Dorn of Mays Landing, Chanel Taylor and husband, Al, of Loganville, Ga., and Jessica Moore of Atlantic City; brothers, William and Theodore Darnell Black, both of Atlantic City; sisters, Effie Rowe and husband, Leon, of Raleigh, N.C. and Lillie Mae Dawson of Goldsboro, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; aunts, Ruther Worrell Mitchell and husband, Jesse, of Dudley, N.C., and Alma Williams of Goldsboro, N.C.; his companion, Rita Moore; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2007, at 1 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, Goldsboro, N.C. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in Old Mill Cemetery, Goldsboro, N.C.
