DOROTHY F. DURHAM

Dorothy Frances Durham, of 249 Millers Chapel Road, died Sunday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston, N.C. She was born to the late Mr. Lindsay W. and Norma Geneva Haraway. She graduated from Lincoln University, Jefferson City, Mo., in 1952 with a B.S. degree in business administration. Mrs. Durham was a very active member of Millers Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church; the Wilson District and the Cape Fear Conference of the A.M.E. Zion affiliation. She was employed for 34 years with the federal government.
Funeral services will be Thursday, June 14, at 1 p.m. at Millers Chapel Church, with the Rev. Franklin Rush officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilson Cemetery.
Her husband, Mr. Lonnie Durham, of the home, and her sisters, Norma R. McCowan and Lynzine La Grone of Goldsboro, N.C., survive her.
A viewing will be Wednesday, June 13, at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, Goldsboro, N.C. from 2 to 5:30 p.m. A wake will be Wednesday, June 13, from 7 to 8 p.m. at Millers Chapel Church where the family and friends will gather and at other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Durham, 249 Millers Chapel Road and 1703 Mulberry St., Goldsboro, the home of her sisters.
