FREMONT -- Verlon Taylor, 74, died Friday. He was retired from CSX Railroad and a member of the former Fremont Rescue Squad.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the new section of Elmwood Cemetery.
Surviving are his daughters, Tammy Lynn of Bailey and Lori Stanley of Four Oaks; sons, Ken Taylor and Jimmy Taylor, both of Lucama; brothers, Charlie Taylor of Woodbridge, Va., and Don Taylor of Fayetteville, Ga.; eight grandchildren.
The family will be at Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Drive, Wilson, tonight from 7 to 8 p.m.
