MOUNT OLIVE -- Edna Martin Scarborough, 88, died early Tuesday morning at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Mount Olive with Dr. Dennis Atwood officiating. Interment will be in the Martin-Price Cemetery.
A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Mrs. Scarborough was a graduate of Meredith College and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mount Olive where she was a deacon and Sunday school teacher.
Her survivors include two daughters, Beverly S. Blackwelder and husband, Richard, of Mount Olive, and Shirley S. Lee of Buies Creek; three grandchildren, Meredith Kinder and husband, Mike, of Raleigh, Garrett Blackwelder and wife, Corrie, of Greenville, and Brooks Lee of Greensboro; and a sister, Ruth M. Parker of Mount Olive.
Friends and relatives will be received at the home of Richard and Beverly Blackwelder, 110 Smith Chapel Road in Mount Olive on Wednesday night from 7 to 9 p.m.
