VONNIE B. PEARCE

SMITHFIELD -- Vonnie Braswell Pearce, 93, of Britthaven in Smithfield, died Sunday afternoon at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was born in Johnston County to the late Charles Richard and Bertha Creech Braswell. She was the widow of the late David Edward Pearce. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Eunice Thompson and Frances Howell. Mrs. Pearce was a member of Princeton Baptist Church where she was a member of the church choir, taught Sunday school and went on several mission trips. She operated the Princeton Town Shop.
The funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Princeton Cemetery.
She is survived by a daughter, Rosalette P. Agnew of Burlington; sisters, Luda Hinnant of Smithfield, Joyce Goldston of Garner and Betsy Pate of Princeton.
The family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. Tuesday evening and immediately following the funeral at Casey Funeral Home in Princeton.
