ADELL S. EURE

Adell Sherard Eure, age 87, passed away on Monday evening after a long illness. She was born in Wayne County to the late Mr. and Mrs. Amos M. Sherard and was married to the late Carlyle G. Eure for 47 years. She was a life-long resident of Goldsboro and an active member of First Baptist Church where she served as a deacon, as the church hostess, and as a member of the Fidelis-Dorcas Sunday School class for many years. She graduated from Goldsboro High School in 1936 and Women's College in 1940. She will be missed by all who knew her as a loving and passionate wife, mother, and friend.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Rev. Glenn Phillips Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Willowdale.
She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, John and Sharon Eure of Rocky Mount and Bill Eure of Dallas, Texas.
The family will be receiving friends Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church Parlor.
