Services for James C. Barnes will be Monday at noon at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1065 Tommy's Road, with the Rev. Joe A. Jackson officiating. Burial will be in the Barnes Family Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Barnes, of the home; three daughters, Sandra McCoy of Houston, Willemina Williams of Mount Olive and Kanita Morris of Goldsboro; two sons, Brian Barnes and James Barnes Jr., both of the home; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his mother, Nancy B. Ward of Goldsboro; and one sister, Beulah B. Kelly of Goldsboro.
The viewing will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, with the family present from 8 to 9 p.m. at Lightner Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 601 E. Ash St.
