James Stallings, 88, of Island Creek Community, died Tuesday at Duplin General Hospital, Kenansville.
Funeral services will be at New Christian Chapel Baptist Church, Highway 111, Rose Hill, Saturday at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Reginald A. Wells officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his sons, Ervin Wendell, James P. and Terry Jeffrey Stallings, all of Wallace, Kenneth and Eric Wadell Stallings, both of Rose Hill; sister, Katie Pigford of Jacksonville; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 472 Wells Town Road, and other times at the home of his son, James P. Stallings, 125 Summer Ridge Drive, Wallace.
