LONG BEACH, N.Y. -- Daisy Searcy Roberts, 87, 225 W. Park Ave, formerly of Wayne County, died Sunday at Long Beach Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Columbia, S.C., and a member of Christian Light Missionary Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at McIntyre Funeral Home Chapel, 900 S. George St., with the Rev. Ernie Haskins officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her parents, Marion Dawkins and Rosa Wright; son, Samuel; and daughters, Daisy Mae and Cleo.
She is survived by a son, Andrew Searcy of Dudley; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Viewing will be Friday at McIntyre Funeral Home from 2 to 6 p.m.
Family will receive friends at the home of her son, Andrew Searcy at 100 Southern Plaza Drive, Dudley.
