GERTRUDE N. HUDSON

LAGRANGE -- Gertrude Newsome Hudson, 84, 1413 New Hope Road, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She was born in Wayne County to the late Jack R. and Emma Eliza Walters Newsome.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Park with the Rev. Charles Kirkland officiating.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Hudson; daughter, Patricia "Patsy" Billington and husband, James, of Wisconsin; son, John Keith Hudson of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Don Randel Hudson, Jimmy Ray Hudson, Shelley Billington, Wesley Billington, Jimmie Billington, Johnny Hudson, Ashley Hibbard, Rebecca Marie Hudson, Thomas Hudson, Timothy Hudson, Zachery Hudson; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Adine Kearney of Goldsboro, Eliza Hollingsworth of Hot Springs, Ark., and Janice Swindler of Chillicothe, Ohio; sister-in-law, Alma Newsome of Goldsboro; brother-in-law, Duane Thackeray of Goldsboro; her special caregiver, Janice Hudson; and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Tommy D. and Don Randal Hudson; sisters, Nora Elizabeth Newsome Thackeray and Bernice Salisbury; and brothers, Woodrow, Noah, and D.N. Newsome.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Seymour Funeral Home.
