CAROLYN A. PARRISH
Aug. 9, 1945-March 10, 2007
Carolyn Ann Parrish, 61, 161 Perkins Road, died Saturday at Duke Medical Center. A native of Johnston County, she was born to the late Leroy and Alice Sasser Parrish. She was a teacher's assistant at Northwest Elementary School and a member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church. She also was founder and a director of the Buck Swamp Kickin` Cloggers.
Memorial service will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, with the Rev. David Hollowell officiating. Interment will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Wayne Memorial Park.
Surviving is her husband, Randy Parrish; son, Randall Parrish and wife, Lisa, of Goldsboro; sisters, Emmie Pittman and Dorothy Parrish, both of Kenly, Edna Holmes of Goldsboro, Elgia Parrish of Morehead City and Frances Hyde of Wilson; brothers, Paul Parrish of Goldsboro, Archie Parrish of Princeton and Wilton Parrish of Fremont; and grandson, Joshua Parrish
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Ellen Evans and Mildred Merritt, and a brother, Gurney Parrish.
Family will receive friends at the church following the service and at other times at the residence.
Arrangements are with Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
