Services for Carrie Horner Brown, 84, of 816 Franklin St., who died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital, will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Greater Guiding Star United Holy Church, with pastor Joseph Williams officiating.
Interment will be in the Old Mill Cemetery.
She was born to the late Marcellus and Julia Langston Wooten. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Horner, and a son, Joseph Lee Horner. She was a member of Greater Guiding Star United Holy Church for approximately 60 years and served on the Mother Board.
She is survived by three daughters, Delores H. Wilkins, Judith H. Raymond and Janice H. Handy; a son, Melvin Horner; three stepsons, Troy D. Horner, William Brown and Edward Brown; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
