Jimmie Greenfield, 60, 704 Pittman St., died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Wayne County and was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Blanche Brown Greenfield. Mr. Greenfield was a member of Goldsboro Chapel FWB Church, president of Goldsboro Chapel Male Chorus, former employee and supervisor at Laughlin Poultry Company, 1964 graduate of Dillard High School and played football for Dillard High School.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Goldsboro Chapel FWB Church with pastor James Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Melvalene Greenfield of the home; sons, Ivan Lamont Greenfield of Nashville, Tenn., Anthony Rouse and Chester Williams, both of Goldsboro, and Angelo Monroe of Dudley; daughter, Tonji Caldwell of Goldsboro; brother, William Greenfield of Tampa, Fla.; sisters, Essie Robinson of Snow Hill, Joyce Sutton of Goldsboro, Geneva Ward of Sacramento, Calif.; 12 grandchildren.
Viewing will be Sunday at McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro from 2:30 to 6 p.m. Family will be present to receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m.
