Elijah L. "El" Smith, 85, 505 Bunch Drive, died Thursday at home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Seldon Smith; son, Bruce Smith; and daughter, Joyce Smith Dixon. He was a Deacon at New Spirit Church Ministries.
Arrangements are incomplete and have been entrusted to McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro.
