RALEIGH -- Bonnie Hill Strother, formerly of Goldsboro, died Wednesday after a sudden illness at Rex Hospital.
She was born in Wayne County and was an employee of Belk-Tyler in Goldsboro for 20 years. For the last 30 years, she resided in Raleigh.
Visitation will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Ephesus Baptist Church, Raleigh, followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Greg Templin officiating. Entombment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Raleigh.
Mrs. Strother is survived by her husband of 30 years, Howard Strother; two daughters, Diane Roberts of Goldsboro and Linda Burch of Waxhaw; stepdaughter, Betty Waller; two stepsons, Louis and Leonard Strother; two sons-in-law, Toby Roberts and Richard Foulke; sister, Ila Cox; brother, Zeno Moore Jr.; four grandchildren, Tracie Northan and husband, Mark, Debra Baskett and husband, Todd, Dan Roberts, and Alan Burch; and two great-grandchildren, Haley Baskett and Emma Northan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Zeno and Lizzie Whitley Moore; two sisters, Mary Ann Howell and Laura Sadler; and four brothers, William Henry Moore, Tilghman Moore, Alfred Moore, and Aaron Moore.
