Nymphus Durham, 80, 524 Miller Chapel Road, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Wayne County and a retired state employee. Mr. Durham preceded in death by his parents, Kirby Durham Sr., and Olivia Durham.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Millers Chapel AME Zion Church with the Rev. Franklin Rush officiating. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery.
He is survived by sons, Lester H. Durham of Forth Worth, Texas, and D'Agata Durham of Smithfield; daughters, Mary Cogdell of Goldsboro and Vernell Stephens of Columbia, S.C.; brother, Kirby Durham Jr. of Goldsboro; sisters, Hadessa Lewis and Emma Eans, both of Goldsboro; 18 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be Friday from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home. Family will receive friends at Millers Chapel AME Zion Church Friday from 6 to 7 p.m.
