RONNIE D. KORNEGAY
Died Feb. 20, 2007
MOUNT OLIVE -- Ronnie Dean Kornegay, 49, died Tuesday. He was a detention officer with the Wayne County Sheriff's Department.
Funeral services will be today at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Swinson and the Rev. Doug Bartlett officiating. Burial will be Friday at 3 p.m. in Devotional Gardens, Warsaw, with honors by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office and members of Wayne County Detention Center.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara T. Kornegay; father, Perry Kornegay of Mount Olive; daughter, Tonya Ginevan and husband, Greg, of Dudley; brother, Perry Lee Kornegay and wife, Anita, of Mount Olive; grandchild, Garrett Ginevan.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Curvie Arnette Kornegay and a brother, Ricky Neal Kornegay.
Family will receive friends immediately following the funeral and at other times they will be at the home.
