MOUNT OLIVE -- Geraldine Jordan Darden, 78, 239 Slapout Road, died Wednesday. She was preceded in death by a son, William Keith Darden; sisters, Betty Mozingo and Verna Jordan; brother, Grover Jordan; sister-in-law and husband, Letha and Ivey Wise.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at West and Dunn Funeral Home Chapel, Newton Grove, with the Rev. Betty Edwards and the Rev. Marvin Bryant officiating. Interment will be in Eureka Christian Church Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, William Lehman Darden; daughters and sons-in-laws, Macia Dean and Wayne McLamb of Newton Grove, Wanda Sue and Danny Mitchell of Mount Olive, Phyllis Gail and Julian R. Stewart of Four Oaks; son and daughter-in-law, Leon G. and Brenda Darden of Goldsboro; sisters, Judy Jordan, Ruby Kornegay, Sarah Tyner, Virginia Myers; brothers, Jimmy and Perry Jordan; sisters-in-law, Luna Tadlock and husband, Ezra; special friends, Bill and Doris Newell; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
