HAZEL S. OVERBEE

Hazel Stanley Overbee, 78, 1390 Old Smithfield Road, died Tuesday at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was born in Johnston County and was the daughter of the late Willis Elbert and Pauline Caudill Stanley. She was the widow of the late James Patrick Overbee.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Piney Grove Church in Four Oaks with the Rev. Ferrell Hardison, the Rev. Andy Stovell, and the Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating. Committal service will be after the service in the church cemetery.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Donnie and Janice Cooke of Goldsboro, Dennis and Renee Overbee of Smithfield; stepdaughter, Joyce Lane of Goldsboro; brother, Willis Stanley of Benson; sisters, Rena Allen and Katie Lee Woodall, both of Smithfield, Hilda Lawrence of Four Oaks, Alice Faye Bailey of Selma; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends at the home of Donnie and Janice Cooke, 1396 Old Smithfield Road, Goldsboro, and the home of Dennis and Renee Overbee, 7351 Brogden Road, Smithfield.
The family is being served by Casey Funeral Home, Princeton.
