PINE LEVEL -- Thurman Ray Deaver, 89, 106 Lori Drive, died Monday. He was born to the late Dill and Catherine Carter Deaver.
Funeral service will be 7 p.m. Friday at Casey Funeral Home, Princeton, with the Rev. Roger Banks and the Rev. Doug Seymour officiating. Committal service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Princeton Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Emma Lois Baker Deaver; son and daughter-in-law, Durwood and Diane Deaver of Pikeville; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna Seymour of Goldsboro, Brenda and James Gaylord of Garner, Linda Ann and John Hilliard of Satellite Beach, Fla.; stepson, George Land of Hubert; stepdaughter and husband, Nancy and Ray McCurtin of Wilmington; brother, James E. Deaver of Selma; sisters, Mary Young of Raleigh and Vincy Black of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Margaret Martin and Joyce Thomas Deaver; son, Thomas Aaron Deaver; daughter, Dorothy Louise Deaver; son-in- Law, Ralph Seymour; brother, Carl Deaver; sister, Leona Stallings.
The family will receive friends at 6 p.m. Friday and immediately following the funeral service at Casey Funeral Home.
