CHARLES ALTON WIGGS

Charles Alton Wiggs, 77, of 2808 Langston Drive, died Saturday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Wayne County to the late Ossie W. Wiggs and Lola Lynch Wiggs. He operated the Wiggs Timber business until his retirement. He served his country in the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army during the Korean War.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Wayne Memorial Park, with the Rev. Thurman Horney officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Hill Wiggs; his daughter, Terry W. Pate and husband, Mike, of Goldsboro; his son, Charles Wiggs Jr. and wife, Terry, of Wilmington; and five grandchildren, Brad Wiggs, Charlie Wiggs, Keaton Wiggs, Tyler Pate and Tanner Pate.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, N.C. 27534.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. today at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his residence.
