Paul Truitt, 82, 406 Bunche Drive, died Saturday at Britthaven of Smithfield. He was a native of Durham County and employed as a technician for the American Red Cross. Mr. Truitt was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lillie Holloman Truitt.
Funeral services will be Saturday at noon at St. Joseph's FWB Church, Claridge Nursery Road, with pastor Leslie Capers officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Mann Truitt of the home; two daughters, Mava Barret and Barbara Cook, both of Snyder, N.Y.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be Friday at McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, from 2 to 6 p.m. The family will be present to receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m.
