IVOR L. MOORING

PIKEVILLE -- Ivor Lancaster Mooring, 85, a resident of Countryside Living, died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Wayne County to the late Paul and Lillian Killette Lancaster and was the widow of Henry Lee Mooring. She had worked in housekeeping at Britthaven Nursing Home in Goldsboro. Mrs. Mooring was a member of Free Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Free Chapel P.F.W.B. Church with the Rev. Mike Williams and the Rev. Thomas McLendon officiating. Burial will follow in the Lancaster Family Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Pat Mooring of Pikeville and special friend, Charlene Smith, of Goldsboro and Archie Mooring and special friend, Ann Summerlin, of Pikeville; her sisters, Hilda Godwin of Goldsboro, Cora A. Saunders of Wilson, Shirley Corbett of Pikeville; her brother, George Handley Lancaster of Jacksonville; daughter-in-law, June Hickman; grandchildren, Paul Mooring, Jr. and wife, Bobbie, Steven Wayne Mooring and wife, Melissa, Kenneth Ray Mooring, William Lee Mooring, and Dawn Jackson; great-grandchildren, Robert Patrick Mooring, William Bryant Mooring, Chloe Ann Mooring, and Kylie Warrick; godson, Trent Crumpler; special friends, Lillie Mae Best, Geraldine Coats, Ella Smith, Jenny Crumpler, Joshua David Smith, Trey Summerlin, Charlie Thomas, Terry Williams.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Billy Mooring; sisters, Eunice Smith, Pauline Bell and Louise Alllen; and a granddaughter, Apryl N. Smith.
The family will receive friends Saturday 7 to 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Archie Mooring, 779 Forehand Road.
