MOUNT OLIVE -- Kirk Douglas Williams, 46, of Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of Mount Olive, died Tuesday at Carlton T. Hayden Veterans Hospital.
He served in the United States Marine Corps and was working in construction.
Funeral services will 1 p.m. today at Mount Gilead Missionary Baptist Church, with Elder Anthony Flow officiating. Burial will follow in the Grantham Cemetery.
He is survived by two sons, Larry Carlton of Mount Olive, Dwayne Singleton of Beaufort, S.C.; his mother, Barbara Williams-Agard of Corona, N.Y.; his father and stepmother, Arnold and Edna Durham of Goldsboro; four brothers, Ricky Williams of San Diego, Calif., Quinn Agard of Corona, N.Y., Timothy Durham of Norfolk, Va., and Ricky Durham of Goldsboro; four sisters, Felicia Dennis of Astel, Ga., Michelle Johnson of Uniondale, N.Y., and Kim McGowan and LaDora Frazier of Raleigh; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home of Joseph and Dorothy King, 417 Silver St., Mount Olive.
