MSGT. (RET.) AARON LEWIS LOFTON

MSgt. (ret.) Aaron Lewis Lofton, 68, of 258 Edna Lane, died Friday morning at Wayne Memorial Home. He is survived by his wife, Kathrine Lofton. He was the son of the late Jadie Perry and Hazel Simmons Lofton. Mr. Lofton was retired from the U.S. Air Force, having served for 26 years, including service in Vietnam. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked at Cherry Hospital in Dietary Food Services. Mr. Lofton was a member of Sheppard's Chapel Church and SEANK.
Services will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk funeral home with full military honors. Horace Modlin and the Rev. Vernon Braswell will be officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and immediately following the service.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Daryl Lofton of Perry, Ga.; a daughter, Gena Perez of San Antonio, Texas; brothers, Norman Lofton and wife, Francis, of Charlotte, and Glenn Lofton and wife, Linda, of Mount Croghan, S.C.; step-sons, Stephen Bradshaw and wife, Kim, of Goldsboro, Donnie Bradshaw of Femont; and six grandchildren.
A son, Michael Lofton, preceded him in death.
Shumate Faulk funeral home and crematory is serving the family.
