PRINCETON -- Dorothy Goodman Smith, 82, 661 Luby Smith Road, died today. She was born to the late Forrest Marion and Virginia Carver Goodman and was the widow of Cecil W. Smith. Mrs. Smith was a past member of Oakland Friends Church for 56 years where she served as a past Sunday school teacher. She was also a charter member of the Oakland Grange and a member of the Oakland Home Demonstration Club.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Oak Forest Road Church of Christ in Goldsboro, where she was a member, with Robert Goff and Lennie Reagan officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
She is survived by two sons, Leonard Smith of Goldsboro and Jeff Smith of Princeton; two daughters, Carolyn Goff and Barbara Hardee, both of Princeton; brother, Marion Goodman Durham; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Casey Funeral Home in Princeton.
