FREMONT -- Daphne Davis Davis, 87, died Sunday in her home. Mrs. Davis was the widow of George W. Davis and a daughter of the late Weaver B. and Pearl Edwards Davis. She retired from Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. Fremont Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Surviving is a daughter, Verne D. Futrell of Garner; sons, Brian Davis of Wilson and Greg Davis of Clayton; granddaughters, Jeni Davis of Wilson and Leigh Anne F. Creech and husband, Shay, of Raleigh; sister, Jewitt Thompson and husband, Ed, of Cary; brother, Landis Davis and wife, Janet, of Faro.
The family will be at Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Dr, N, Wilson, Tuesday, 6 to 8:00 p.m.
